The Ultimate 14-Day South Korea Itinerary: Seoul & Jeju Island

Posted on October 2, 2025October 2, 2025 by Ara Patria

South Korea has always been on my bucket list, a dream destination I’ve had since childhood. But it took me a while to finally make it happen. To be honest, getting a South Korean tourist visa isn’t always easy for Filipino travelers—I know this firsthand after being denied twice before finally getting mine approved. That’s why I promised myself that once I got the chance, I’d stay long enough to make the most out of it.

And I’m glad I did, because my very first trip to South Korea happened during the stunning autumn season. The golden leaves, crisp air, and vibrant scenery made the experience even more unforgettable it was truly worth the wait.

For my first visit, I spent a couple of weeks exploring the country: 8 days in Seoul and 5 days in Jeju Island. So if you’re planning to visit South Korea for two weeks, this 14-day South Korea itinerary will help you experience the best of both worlds—from the cultural landmarks and bustling shopping streets of Seoul to the breathtaking landscapes of Jeju Island.

Essential Travel Guides & Tips

  • South Korean Won (KRW) is the currency; cards are widely accepted. However, while cards are widely accepted, small vendors and traditional markets often prefer cash.
  • Make sure to book in advance, especially for popular tourist attractions like the DMZ or Everland can sell out quickly.
  • Always make sure to bring your passport.
  • Use your T-money card while getting around Seoul. It works perfectly on the subway and buses. You can get this from the airport or from convenience stores!
  • Make sure to wear comfy shoes. You’ll definitely do a lot of walking while exploring South Korea.
  • Downloads Kakao Maps or Naver Maps for easy navigation.
  • Join a guided day tour: The easiest and most time-efficient way to explore Gyeongju is by booking a day trip via Klook (ARAPATRIAKLOOK for 5% OFF) or GetYourGuide (ARATHEADVENTURESS for 5%OFF), especially if you’re only spending a day.
  • When applying for a South Korean tourist visa, ensure you submit your application at least 2-3 months before your planned flight date. Here’s your ultimate South Korean tourist visa guide for first-timers!

South Korean Tourist Visa Checklist

Most travelers need a visa to enter South Korea. Make sure you have a valid passport, a completed visa application form, financial documents, and confirmed flight and accommodation details. Filipinos can also apply for a multiple-entry visa if they have a previous travel history to OECD countries.

How to Get from Incheon Airport to Seoul?

The AREX Express Train takes around 45 minutes to Seoul Station. Alternatively, you can take the airport limousine bus, which drops you directly at major districts like Myeongdong, Hongdae, and Gangnam.

Getting Around Seoul, South Korea

The subway system is the easiest and cheapest way to travel. Grab a T-money card for seamless transport on subways, buses, and even in convenience stores. Taxis are also widely available, but expect higher fares compared to public transportation.
