It’s my 10th day in Taiwan and also my last day of exploring this beautiful country. Thus, I decided to travel with my college best friend since it was a holiday in Taiwan. My best friend and I agreed to go on a day tour to Jinshan District, New Taipei City.
I believe that there are so many places to visit in New Taipei City, but our main purpose was to visit this very Instagrammable-looking spot in Jinshan District: the Tiaoshi Bus Stop. This spot has become popular all over social media and it feels like you’re in a Korean drama setting! No wonder a lot of people are visiting this spot and taking a lot of pictures.
We were so excited to visit this famous bus stop because we thought that visiting this famous bus station would make us feel like we were in a Korean drama set, too!
In this blog post, find out how to get to the Tiaoshi bus stop from Taipei by train. If you’re also planning to go on a quick day tour to New Taipei City, this travel guide is for you!
How to get to Tiaoshi Bus Stop from Taipei?
If you’re visiting Taiwan for the first time, one of the things that you’ll love about the country is its public transportation. I love how convenient it is to travel from one place to another just by taking the MRT, TSHR, or bus. In my case, I have traveled around and explored Taiwan by MRT most of the time. It’s cheap and super convenient.
That being said, here’s how you can get to the Tiaoshi Bus Stop from Taipei Main Station.
- The Tiaoshi Bus Stop is located in Jinshan District, New Taipei City. With that, it is possible to take the train from Taipei Main Station to Tamsui.
- Take the red-line MRT to Tamsui.
- Upon getting off the train, cross the road from the train station and then look for bus numbers 862 or 863.
- Then, drop off at the Tiaoshi bus stop.
Take note that Tamsui is the last station on the red line so it takes around an hour to get there from the Taipei main station.
Essential Travel Guide & Tips
- Leave as early as much as possible. It’s always better to leave early so you can have a lot of time to explore other areas near the Tiaoshi bus top.
- Make sure that your Easy Card is loaded so it won’t be a hassle for you when traveling. This easy card can be used for trains and buses.
- Taiwan can be very hot during the day, so better bring an umbrella with you and make sure to put on sunscreen.
- Getting to the Tiaoshi bus stop from Taipei could be a very long ride, so make sure to eat before the trip and bring some snacks with you.
- Dress up and get your best shot at the Tiaoshi bus stop!
Is the Tiaoshi bus stop worth visiting?
If you’re into visiting Instagrammable-worthy spots in Taiwan, I must say that visiting the Tiaoshi bus stop is worth visiting. It’s not just about the bus stop; it’s all about the beautiful sea background view that it offers! It’s truly beautiful.
On the other hand, I could say that this place is only good for visiting once since it’s a little exhausting to get here. Otherwise, you can visit other good spots around New Taipei City.
There are so many beautiful places to visit in Taiwan (one example would be the Alishan National Scenic Area). It’s my first time exploring Taiwan and I totally loved it in general.
