About Baliraya Resort & Spa
Baliraya is a private resort and spa which opened last May 2019. The resort’s name comes from the combination of “Bali” and “Caliraya,” where it is nestled along the shores of the beautiful lake of Laguna.
Reasons to visit Baliraya Resort
Accommodation
The resort has a total of 5 rooms and 2 villas. Each of the rooms has its very own unique names inspired by the popular Balinese spots such as Ubud Villa, Komaneka, Seminyak, and Nusa Dua. My friends and I actually stayed in one of their private villas and small rooms called Ubud Villa and Komaneka. We have seen how the rooms are equipped, cleaned, and spacious. Each room comes with an air-conditioner, a private bathroom, television, free breakfast, and a very refreshing view in the morning!
Restaurant
The resort has its own restaurant where you can enjoy their delicious food made by their own chef. They offer lots of native Filipino dishes and desserts. You don’t need to go out to look for food because the resort can already provide that! More to that, its restaurant looks so cozy and has got a very nice ambiance! I personally enjoyed our breakfast here while looking at the scenic view outside.
On the other hand, if you find their cuisine a little costly, you can dine in at the Sunrise Restaurant instead!
The Infinity Pool
This is one of the best things about the resort. It has an infinity pool that offers such an amazing view of the lake. Not to mention the jacuzzi that is attached to it. You can perfectly relax while dipping yourself in the resort’s pool or jacuzzi. In addition, you can experience floating breakfast during your morning swim.
Fun water activities
Baliraya Resort & Spa is not just a resort that you can just swim all day or stay in your room and watch TV. The resort also offers some cool water activities such as kayaking and fishing! Take note that they don’t offer these for free. If you want experience them, you need to pay an additional charge. On another note, you can also request for a massage from the staff.
Things to Expect
Convenience
The resort is located in Lumban, Laguna which is 2-3 hours away from Manila. It isn’t that difficult to find!
Food
As I said above, the food from their restaurant might be pricey for you especially if you are traveling on a budget. It is okay to bring some snacks, and 2-3 cooked meals are only allowed inside the resort. Anything exceeding that will be charged a corkage fee. Cooking is strictly prohibited.
Events & Recreation
This place is also ideal for a wedding photoshoot, special events, or other grand celebrations.
Wi-Fi & Data Connection
They do offer a wi-fi connection, but when we were it wasn’t available yet. As per the staff, they are currently working on it. With that data connection, the signal is unstable in the area. One good thing about it is you will be able to fully reconnect yourself with your loved ones and nature.
Based on our experience, we were able to have a good and deep conversation at night in their small lounging area. It was such a great time for us!
Instagram-worthy place
Baliraya Resort and Spa is surely one of the newest attractive resorts in Laguna. Every corner of the place is Instagram-worthy. Not to mention the part where you can sit in the nest with an overlooking view of the lake. It definitely feels like you are in Bali, Indonesia!
